Uniform

We would advise all students to order their uniform through the dance school to ensure you have the correct attire. Incorrect clothing or shoes may result in lost of marks on examination day. As teachers we also have an understanding of dance gear sizing and the best value brands, as a lot of cheap brands on the web fade and wear aware easily.

Infant Uniform - Ages 3-8

​

  • BALLET - Royal blue leotard with skirt, blue lycra hairband, pink ballet socks and pink ballet shoes (satin or leather) with ballet ribbons. Hair should be in a tight bun with hairnet and fringe tucked back.

 

  • TAP - Royal blue leotard with skirt, blue lycra hairband, white ankle socks, white tap shoes with blue ribbons.

 

  • STAGE - Royal blue leotard with skirt, blue lycra hairband, white ankle socks, white leather ballet shoes.

 

  • FREESTYLE - Commercial dancewear. Preferably bright colours and glitz. Must be able to move freely. Best to get approval from teachers before an exam session. Custom made competition costumes may also be worn. Can wear make up/facepaint and anything else to glitz up!

Junior Uniform - Age 8+ up to Grade 3 

 

  • BALLET - Royal blue sleevless leotard with gathered bust line, pink ballet socks or pink ballet tights, blue lycra hairband, pink ballet shoes (satin or leather) with ballet ribbons. Hair should be in a tight bun with hairnet and fringe tucked back.

 

  • TAP - Royal blue leotard with gathered bust, blue lycra hairband, blue lycra stirrup leggings, white tap shoes with blue ribbons, white socks. Hair should be neatly tied up.

 

  • STAGE - Royal blue leotard with gathered bust, blue lycra hairband, blue lycra stirrup leggings, white leather ballet shoes or white jazz shoes, white socks. Hair should be neatly tied up.

 

  • FREESTYLE - Commercial dancewear. Preferably bright colours with dance sneakers. Must be able to move freely. Best to get approval from teachers before an exam session. Custom made competition costumes may also be worn. Can wear make up/facepaint and anything else to glitz up!

 

 

Senior Uniform - Grade 4 onwards

 

  • BALLET - Black sleevless leotard with gathered bust line, pink ballet tights, black lycra hairband, pink ballet shoes (satin or leather) with ballet ribbons. Hair should be in a tight bun with hairnet and fringe tucked back

 

  • TAP - Black leotard with gathered bust, black lycra hairband, black lycra stirrup leggings, black tap shoes with black ribbons or laces, white socks. Hair should be neatly tied up.

 

  • STAGE - Black leotard with gathered bust, black lycra hairband, black lycra stirrup leggings, black jazz shoes/sneakers, white socks. Hair should be neatly tied up.

 

  • FREESTYLE - Commercial dance wear. Preferably bright colours with dance sneakers. Must be able to move freely. Best to get approval from teachers before an exam session. Custom made competition costumes may also be worn. Can wear make up/facepaint and anything else to glitz up!

 

 

Hoodies, T-Shirts and Vest Tops

 

We also have a range of casual wear branded with the Rouse School of Dance logo and the pupil's name. The clothing is white with a royal blue logo and embroidery.
